Surrey Urban Indigenous Leadership Committee (SUILC) is a membership of Indigenous and non-Indigenous organizations that are directly connected to the urban Indigenous community in the City of Surrey.
We advocate for Indigenous people living in Surrey to achieve our vision where every Indigenous person reaches their full potential and is thriving.
Our efforts focus on access to affordable housing for Indigenous people, access to a gathering space, addressing Indigenous child poverty, advancing Indigenous cultural awareness and safety, supporting Indigenous youth and Elders, as well as increasing funding for programs and services for Indigenous people in Surrey.
The people that make up SUILC understand the barriers Indigenous people face in the city. We are dedicated to advocating on behalf of all Indigenous people in Surrey. We work collaboratively with our partners to advance our Strategic Objectives outlined in All Our Relations: A Social Innovation Strategy.
