Are you a newcomer starting your job search in Canada and need support?

If you’re a newcomer looking to get into the workforce, you may need help with your resume, cover letter and applying for jobs! In this digital literacy workshop for newcomers, you will learn:

• The purpose of a resume versus a cover letter and what to include in each
• How to use resume templates
• Tips for creating an effective, error-free resume
• Resume and job searching dos and don’ts
• How to search for and apply for jobs online using safe websites
• How to avoid online job scams

Who’s eligible:

• Permanent residents, protected persons and CUAT Visa holders of all ages.

When: Monday, December 16, 2024 (2:00pm-3:30pm)
