Stories from the Land

Our “Stories from the Land” project is an initiative that bridges newcomer, settler, and Indigenous communities in Surrey. Through a series of gatherings, workshops and storytelling experiences, participants explore Indigenous histories, cultures and perspectives while sharing their own journeys.

Activities such as the youth drum-making workshop facilitated by Stephen Armstrong of Red Sockeye Consulting and a member of Kwikwetlem First Nation offer hands-on learning rooted in Coast Salish teachings.
