The Immigrant Women Advisory Table (IWAT) is a volunteer roundtable for immigrant women from diverse backgrounds. It’s a space to engage in the community and advise the Surrey LIP council on ways newcomer women can better navigate their post-arrival journey in the community and guide the council on supports and opportunities needed in Surrey to foster social and economic integration.
As an IWAT member, you will:
- Guide the council on supports and services for immigrant women in Surrey
- Bring your lived experiences and perspectives to build a welcoming and inclusive community
- Serve as a community champion for immigrant women
Want to join? Eligibility requirements include:
- Residents of Surrey
- Newcomer immigrants who identify as women
- Open to learning and collaborating
- Can commit to monthly meetings and working group engagements
