DESCRIPTION:The Surrey Poverty Reduction Coalition (SPRC) annual community forum will take place on December 6\, 2024 from 9:00am to 2:30pm at the Surrey Schools Resource and Education Centre at 14123 92 Ave\, Surrey\, BC V3V 1J5.  \nThis year’s theme is Pathways Out of Generational Poverty. Our working definition: generational poverty refers to when poverty conditions are inherited leading to difficulty for future generations from breaking cycles of poverty. This year’s forum highlights specific pathways in Surrey that can and/or has helped people break cycles of generational poverty. \nWhat to expect \nThe SPRC Community Forum is an annual half-day gathering for Surrey’s social services organizations and community members to connect\, learn\, and inspire. A tentative agenda is included on the RSVP Eventbrite page.
