DESCRIPTION:This in-person gathering serves not only as a reflection on the persistent challenges of hate and discrimination but also as a catalyst for meaningful\, collective action. Through shared stories\, expert insights\, and collaborative discussions\, participants will deepen their knowledge and walk away with practical strategies to champion inclusivity in their spheres of influence. \nThis gathering also continues the commemoration of the conclusion of the International Decade for People of African Descent\, which has been guided by three key pillars—recognition\, justice\, and development—in addressing systemic barriers faced by people of African descent worldwide. In addition\, the event commemorates Black History Month. \nIn the Canadian context\, heightened awareness and actions against anti-Black racism have marked this period\, reflecting an urgency to recognize and dismantle racial inequalities\, while celebrating the resilience and achievements of African-descended communities.
