SUMMARY:Together Against Hate Forum: Eliminating Racism for a Better Future
DESCRIPTION:DIVERSEcity has been proud to present the Together Against Hate project\, a collection of workshops and community dialogues designed to foster authentic and courageous conversations about racism and hate. \nOur project concludes with a free Together Against Hate Community Forum in recognition of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The theme\, “Eliminating Racism for a Better Future\,” calls on the community\, including changemakers\, community leaders\, youth\, families\, educators\, employers and other community members to come together in dialogue and action. \nRising rates of hate and discrimination — whether online or in schools\, workplaces and public spaces — highlight the urgent need for community-driven solutions to address these systemic challenges\, for everyone in our communities\, particularly youth who face growing racial discrimination that impacts their wellbeing\, sense of belonging and future opportunities. Social media and online hate continue to have devastating effects\, making it more important than ever to stand together against racism for a better future. \nWhat can we do to eliminate racism for the next generation?
