Employer Go2 Resource

Employers face skills shortages, and recognize that newcomers are an important part of the solution.”

Newcomers and Employment Quick Study, 2016

In 2015, Surrey LIP conducted a Labour Market Research project that engaged more than 110 Surrey-based employers. The main objective was to gain better understanding of Surrey’s labour market needs as well as immigrant successes and challenges in finding employment in Surrey. The research also sought to gain better understanding of employer successful practices to hire and retain immigrant employees.

One of the key findings of the research were the challenges employers faced in accessing resources to hire and retain immigrant talent.

This online resource, Employer Go2 Resources, was created for Surrey-based employers and provides a range of useful information and tools to tap into immigrant talent pools to address local skill shortages.
