The Surrey LIP: Service Mapping Project
Monday, March 9, 2015

SPARC BC is leading the Surrey LIP Service Mapping project which aims to understand the existing assets and gaps that comprise the milieu of immigrant services and supports in Surrey. As of now, over 230 programs and services have been identified. After verification process is completed, an interactive inventory/map of services will become available to the general public on the Surrey LIP website.

Twenty four leaders from community organizations and government agencies took part in an online Survey of Surrey Service Infrastructure (approx. 90% response rate). This survey aims to understand the perspectives of leaders from government and non-government service organizations regarding those features of Surrey's service infrastructure that aim to support immigrants and refugees. The survey findings will inform the development of a Surrey Settlement Strategy.
