Surrey LIP News: City of Surrey Staff Training

In March of 2016, the Surrey LIP and City's HR Department have partnered to organize and deliver two training sessions to provide an update on the arrival of Syrian refugees to Surrey of City staff, and introduce them to the Middle East culture as well as encourage staff to take action to help refugees to feel welcomed in Surrey.

Over 110 staff member have attended the sessions and expressed an interest to volunteer and support the re-settlement of refugees in Surrey. A number of City staff, volunteers and partner organizations took the time to present at these sessions and share their experiences welcoming newcomers to Surrey. The Surrey LIP team would like to acknowledge the time and contribution of the following individuals:
